The owner Keegan Manning was chosen to help create this sculpture as a 9/11 memorial called “the liberty family rising from the ashes. He helped redesign the layout to give it an uplifting feeling.

The entire sculpture is 16ft tall and made out of stainless steel. The pentagon was welded together and then the 2 end pieces with the 4 windows cut into them to represent the 4 planes involved. The stainless-steel stars were laser cut in 2ft by 3ft sheets and hand bent to form the structure of the outline of the family. The base was heat treated onsite to give it a burnt effect and the family was polished, and each star was hand stamped with the first initial of each person we lost that day. The sculpture sits on top of 2 concrete pillars to represent the twin towers.

It took 3 months to complete and was unveiled on 9/11/11. We here at Armored Roofing respect our military and our law enforcement. We do a lot to give back to them when possible from fundraisers, donations, discounts, parades and many more. We are immensely proud to be a part of this and we hope everyone can enjoy it.
